Daily Mail article on the tax system

Dominic Lawson in an article in the Daily Mail praises Tax and the Family for campaigning about the unfairness of the tax system and asks why if the Conservatives are meant to be the party of the family they don’t put families first.

He said that his Father, Lord Lawson, wanted a tax system which was both neutral and fair. If Jeremy Hunt, he says, wants to get mothers into the workplace, changing the universal child care rules won’t do it. The family will still only be able to keep 31% of any new income. The root of the problem, he says, is in our income tax system which ignores the family and has to be backed up by a means tested benefit system.
