Scots Call for Changes to Income Tax to Help Families

Although the income tax system in Scotland differs from that in the rest of the UK, many of the problems are the same. CARE for Scotland has published Tax and the Family figures showing the impact of tax and benefits on family incomes following the cut in the universal credit taper and the increase in the work allowances. CARE call for reform of income tax, the unfreezing of the personal allowance for those with children and an increase in the personal allowance for married couples and civil partners.
